The minimum throughput of 40,000 TEUs per annum shall be assured to be considered for allotment of Fixed Berthing Window.
The period of agreement shall be for 2 years extendable by one more year on mutual agreement.
There are four window categories based on annual throughput.

The category of consortia will be revised on the basis of its performance in the previous quarter. The window period shall be fixed based on crane intensity and moves.
a) The Port will ensure berth productivity of 36 moves / hour for the window having parcel size of less than 1200 moves / voyage subject to assuring of stowage to achieve crane density of more than 2.
b) The Port will ensure berth productivity of 50 moves / hour for the window having parcel size of more than 1200 moves and up to 200 moves / voyage subject to assuring of stowage to achieve crane density of more than 3.
c) The Port will ensure berth productivity of 60 moves / hour for the window having parcel size of more than 2000 moves / voyage subject to assuring of stowage to achieve crane density of more than 4.
The vessels calling under the window agreement must report to Pilot Station within +/- 2 hrs of the commencement of window timing.
All the vessels calling under the fixed berthing window agreement shall be allowed late reporting maximum 5 times a year by 4 hours. However, the late reporting must be communicated to the Port at least 48 hrs before the commencement of window timing. However, sailing shall be within window timings agreed.
Sailing time shall be maintained as per the window timings agreed.
The agreement shall be terminated by either party by giving one-month notice to other.
No change in the LOA without permission of the Port. Any change in LOA shall be intimated 90 days in advance. The change will be acceptable to the Port depending on the schedule of other window vessels.

ViewStevedoring includes loading and unloading and stowage of cargo in any form on board of the vessel in Ports.
Shore handling includes arranging and receiving the cargo to/from the hook point, inter modal transport from wharf to stack yard and vice-versa and also receiving and delivering of cargo from/to trucks/ wagons.
The policy covers the following activities:-
No agency shall undertake to perform these activities in JNPT, without having a valid licence issued by JNPT for the Stevedoring and shore handling operations.
Stevedoring and Shore handling policy does not apply to a port operated Stevedoring and Shore handling; this exemption is only for operations entirely carried out by port and not for operations carried out by agents partly or fully using the port’s labour. This policy also does not apply to PPP & BoT berth operations.
